About this tool
Opening a CSV directly in Excel often damages it: phone numbers lose their leading zero and long IDs get rounded. This converter keeps those values exactly as written, while ordinary numbers stay as real numbers you can add up.
How to use CSV to Excel
- Add one or more CSV files. Comma, semicolon and tab separators are detected for you.
- Select Convert to Excel. Each CSV becomes its own sheet.
- Download the XLSX workbook and open it in Excel or Google Sheets.
Frequently asked questions
Will my phone numbers keep the leading zero?
Yes. Values such as 03001234567 are stored as text, so the zero stays, and so do IDs too long for Excel to hold as numbers.
Can I combine several CSVs into one Excel file?
Yes. Add multiple files and each one becomes a separate sheet in the same workbook.
Is my spreadsheet data private?
Yes. Conversion happens in your browser, so your data never leaves your device.
